Ordinance sought to scrap purchase of land by KHB

MYSORE: A.H. Vishwanath, MP, on Sunday urged Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to promulgate an ordinance to scrap the purchase of land by the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) near Mysore reportedly by paying an “unrealistic” price.

Addressing presspersons here, he alleged that the KHB had purchased 81 acres of land at Gungral Chatra village near Mysore by paying Rs. 36 lakh for an acre, and termed it an “unrealistic” price.
