Man robbed of cash

BANGALORE: A businessman was robbed of Rs. 2.97 lakh in cash near his house by two motorcycle-borne men on Nagawara Main Road here on Saturday.
The police said that the two men threw chilli powder on the face of V.P. Nisar Ahmed, owner of Parveen Steels on Nagawara Main Road, when he was parking his scooter in front of his house on 5th Main, HBR Layout 2nd Block, at 7.30 p.m. Later, the two fled with the scooter. The police said that Nisar had kept the cash in his scooter’s luggage space and the accused were waiting for Nisar near his house. The Hennur police are investigating.
