Stamp of excellence

BANGALORE: St. Joseph’s College, one of the premier educational institutions in Bangalore city, will have another feather in its cap on August 1 when the Department of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, will issue a stamp to commemorate its 125 years of service to the nation.

Started by French missionaries in the late 1800s, the college has produced many administrators, politicians, and continues to be one of the premier educational destinations for science and humanities for all.

The stamp release function will be inaugurated at 4 p.m. on the college premises. Governor H.R. Bharadwaj will release the stamp. He will also preside over the function. Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Sachin Pilot will be the guest of honour.
