Status quo on metro land acquisition

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ordered status quo on acquisition of properties by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation limited (BMRCL) for the Namma Metro project at South End, R.V. Road. Justice B.S. Patil passed the order on a petition by D. Balachandra and others who had challenged the acquisition of their lands near South End Circle for the Namma metro project. The court ordered status quo and adjourned further hearing of the case. — Staff Reporter
