Probe into Ramanthapur incident ordered

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A day after two labourers were buried alive in a trench at Ramanthapur, GHMC Commissioner S.P Singh has appointed Engineer-in-Chief P. Panduranga Rao to conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident. The inquiry was ordered based on a preliminary report submitted by GHMC’s Chief Engineer on the incident. Mr. Rao has to submit the report within a week for taking necessary action.

The inquiry report will also bring out the causes for the incident, fix up responsibility on the functionaries and suggest measures to prevent such incidents in future while executing municipal works within GHMC limits.
