MYSORE: Mahabodhi HS defeated the defending champion Marimallappa’s HS by 52 runs in the semifinals of the ACUK Mysore Forum’s District-level inter-school cricket tournament played at Gangothri Glades here on Wednesday. In the other rain hit semifinal, Abhinava Bharathi HS beat Sharadha Public School by nine-wickets. The scores: Semifinals: Mahabodhi HS 131 for nine in 30 overs (G.V.Kiran three for 18) bt Marimallappa’s HS 79 in 25.1 overs (George Lin 25, Sushilo three for 11). Sharadha Public School, Mandya 91 in 23.4 overs ( M.G. Naveen 32, Duke Cauvery 28, M.L. Vishal three for 12) lost to Abhinava Bharathi HS, Mandya 61 for one in 12.1 overs ( M.L. Vishal 37 n.o) (Target revised to 61 in 20 overs because of rain).
