‘Lodge FIR against Special Cell’

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The father of one of the victims of the Batla House encounter here last year has written to the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court seeking a direction for registration of an FIR against the Delhi Police Special Cell personnel involved in the shootout.

Ansarul Hassan, father of Mohammed Sajid who was killed in the encounter along with Mohammed Atif Ameen, said that he had moved the High Court when the Delhi Police Commissioner and the NCHR failed to act on his plea for registration of an FIR in the matter. He alleged that his son was not killed in the encounter but was murdered by the Special Cell personnel.
