Relief from campaigning

For the last one month the city is abuzz with the impending GHMC election. But now the court stay has come as a big dampener to those gearing up for a bout. For the common man, however, it is a big relief from the high pitch electioneering. Both, the Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekhar Reddy and his bête noire N. Chandrababu Naidu, have been criss-crossing each other these last few weeks wooing voters – making tall claims and wild promises. Now the politicians find themselves stopped in their campaign trail. With Ganesh and Ramzan festivities round the corner, the common man would sure prefer less of the political buzz.
