KORAPUT: Anita Takri, 14-year-old girl from Dudhari in Semiliguda block of Koraput district, is studying first standard the village school along with many other children who were much younger to her. However, her short height has facilitated her presence among the other children without any problem, Rashmita Takri, her younger sister, who is also studying in same classsays. Her parents are very poor and had failed to give any special care in her childhood, B.Tatalu, headmaster of the school, said. While Anita with an underdeveloped brain and body fails to memorize even the letters or numbers, the sudden interest shown by her to study over the last two years has compelled the school authorities to allow her to sit in the class, he added. Now she is better and knowing her condition other children in the class too support her to spend time well in the classroom. However more than the compassion what she required most was a psychological and medical care.
