Madan shines

Bangalore: Madan’s five for 9 spell helped Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir defeat St. Michael’s HS by 142 runs in a B.T. Ramaiah Shield under-14 tournament match here recently.

The scores: Sri Aurbindo Vidya Mandir 230 for eight in 30 overs (Uma Shankar 59, P. Vishal 50, Stephen three for 41) bt St. Michael’s HS 88 in 15 overs (Madan five for 9).

Cathedral HS 122 in 27.5 overs (Mayank 38, Ajaya three for 20, Akash three for 25) lost to Auden Institute of Education 124 for nine in 24 overs (Samarth 32, Tharan three for 20, Saifulla three for 25).

Shoen Statt St. Mary’s HS 312 for three in 30 overs (Manish 135 n.o., Ankush 56, Kishore 41, Shashank 31) bt MSV HS 40 in 9.3 overs (Ankush three for 10).

BBUL Jain Vidyalaya 60 in 23.2 overs (Rahul Pinto four for eight) lost to Bethany HS 61 for three in seven overs.

Army Public School 222 for nine in 30 overs (Rahul Mehta 72, Kumar Gourav 40, Mohith three for 34) bt MES Kishora Kendra 128 in 28.4 overs (Aman four for 32).

East West Public School 103 in 21.5 overs (Manoj Kumar 26, Siddarth three for 24, Rohan three for 30) lost to BP Indian HS 104 for six in 23 overs (Sai Thanan 44 n.o.).

Royal Concorde International 238 for four in 30 overs (Jatin Achia 89, S.V. Ashvin 30) bt KLE International School 153 in 27.5 overs (Vinay 69, Devanand three for 16).

Taekwondo clinic

The Taekwondo Federation of India will conduct a clinic for coaches at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bangalore from August 3 to 12 under the Olympic Solidarity programme. An expert from World Taekwondo Federation, Choi Se Min, who is a fifth Dan, will supervise the clinic. Outstation coaches will be provided free boarding and lodging.
