BANGALORE: Shreyal Telang of BNM TT Club and M. Madhurya PTTA, Mysore bagged the boys’ and girls’ singles titles respectively in the sub-junior section of the Indian Oil State-ranking table tennis here on Friday. Shreyal, son of former State player Telang, proved too good for Sunand Valson of Horizon TT Club winning 11-4,11-6, 11-5, while Madhurya defeated Maitreyi Baloor of Belgaum 13-11, 11-7,6-11,11-3. In the cadet section, Suchet P. Shenoy won the boys’ title beating Amogh Athani 12-10, 5-11, 14-12, 11-5 and Aishwarya took the girls’ title with a 6-11, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-9 victory over M.V. Spoorthy. Other results (semifinals): Boys: Sub-junior: Shreyal Telang bt Vedanth M. Urs 11-8, 11-6, 11-7; Sunand Valsan bt Suchet 11-4, 12-10, 9-11, 11-9. Cadet: Amogh Athani bt R.B.
