CHANDIGARH: Rich tributes were paid to martyr Udham Singh on his martyrdom day by the members of the Haryana Assembly on the first day of the monsoon session here on Friday. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda moved the resolution to pay homage to the martyr saying that sacrifice made by this great patriot had infused a new life into the country’s freedom struggle. He announced that the State Government had allotted a piece of land to set up a memorial for Shaheed Udham Singh at Shahbad.
