J. Balaji

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will convene a meeting of Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu and Kerala to resolve the Mullaperiyar dam dispute.

“No date has been fixed yet. But a meeting at the Chief Ministers’ level will be held here to sort out the issue,” said Union Water Resources Secretary Umesh Narayan Panjiar to The Hindu here after chairing a secretary-level meeting with representatives from the two States. This was a preparatory meeting to the Chief Ministers’ meeting. Both the State governments were sticking to their respective stand, he said.
