NELLORE: Students of various professional institutions and schools appealed to the government to impose ban on obscene movies and restrictions on crime programmes being telecast by the media to prevent atrocities against women. Participating in a debate organised by the city Congress on ‘Ragging - Eve teasing and atrocities against women’ here on Friday, the speakers stressed the role of parents, educational institutions, student and mahila sangams, NGOs and the media in prevention of crime against women in the society. The students appealed to the government to keep restrictions on sale of acid to curb acid attacks. Congress party city in-charge Poluboina Anil Kumar Yadav and PCC secretary Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy participated.
