Kasaragod: A 31-year-old woman has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing her 35-day-old twin baby girls by administering acid. Kasaragod Additional Sessions Court (II) Judge A . Vijayan, who pronounced the verdict, also slapped a Rs.25,000 fine on R. Leela, hailing from Balal in the district. The woman will have to undergo a jail term of one more year, in case of default, the Judge said. Leela, upset over long- standing discord with her husband, allegedly administered acid used for fermenting rubber milk to her infant daughters. —PTI
