Coimbatore: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Coimbatore, has announced introduction of booking of telephone fault complaints and ascertaining bill amount through Short Messaging Service (SMS), besides offers on bulk SMS and new landline and WLL phone. In a release, Principal General Manager of BSNL said that complaints regarding telephone faults could be booked by sending an SMS to 94422-94423 by typing FLT and the faulty telephone number with STD code after a space. For example, type FLT 0422*******. Similarly, to know the bill amount for a particular telephone number, subscribers could send SMS to 94422-94423 by typing BILL and phone number with STD code after a space. For example, type BILL 0422*******. OffersBSNL has announced an offer of bulk SMS up to one lakh at a time at a special rate of 15 paise per SMS. For retail bulk push SMS traffic within a month for more than one lakh SMS, 10 paise per SMS is charged. The offer is for a limited period only. BSNL has also announced total waiver of installation charges on all new bookings for landline and wireless in local loop connections. The offer is valid for a limited period only. Customers are requested to contact the nearest customer service centre.
