Jewels stolen from two-wheeler

About 305 gm of gold ornaments were reported stolen at Thiru Vi Ka Nagar on Friday.

According to the police, T. Paramasivam (55) of Kodungaiyur retrieved the jewellery, which he had mortgaged for Rs.2.5 lakh, from a bank at Purasawalkam. While returning home on a moped, he stopped on the way to make a purchase. When he returned after sometime, the bag containing the jewellery kept in a box under the seat was missing.

The Thiru Vi Ka Nagar police have registered a case.
