New students welcomed
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: All-India Institute of Medical Sciences director R.C. Deka on Saturday ushered in a new batch of MBBS students at the Institute and congratulated them on their success in cracking one of the toughest entrance examinations to get into the country’s premier medical institution. He highlighted the menace of ragging and declared that ragging in any form was illegal.
Dr. Deka also expressed concern over the rising cost of health care in the country, saying it was increasingly becoming unaffordable for the common man. He also gave a few tips to meet the changing demands of modern health care. Emphasising the need to blend knowledge, skills and attitude with social and cultural values, he exhorted the students to dedicate themselves to nation-building.
