Six-hour three-phase power supply to rural areas demanded

Staff Correspondent

Davangere: The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha has criticised the Government for its discriminative attitude with respect to power supply to urban and rural consumers.

Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, president of the sangha Kodihalli Chandrashekar said that farmers were finding it difficult to water their crops with just two-hour power supply.

Mr. Chandrashekar said that sangha members would launch an agitation if the State Government did not provide six-hour power supply to rural areas with immediate effect.
