Somdev qualifies

Washington: Somdev Devvarman beat second-seeded Josselin Ouanna of France 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 in the second and final qualifying round to make it to the main draw of the $1,402,000 Legg Mason Tennis Classic here.

The ninth-seeded Indian will face qualifier Yuichi Sugita in the first round of the main draw of the hard court event.

If he crosses the first hurdle, he will meet sixth-seeded Croat Marin Cilic, who got a bye in the opening match. — PTI
