Colleges managements told to arrange complaint boxes College faculty urged to take steps to curb ragging NELLORE: Members of the District Level Anti-Ragging Committee have appealed to the engineering, medicine, MBA, MCA, Pharmacy and PG college managements to organise awareness programmes against ragging and take measures to prevent the menace. Speaking at the first meeting of the committee here on Tuesday, committee chairman and Collector K. Ramgopal directed the managements to constitute anti-ragging and monitoring committees with parents, students and faculty and take steps to curb ragging and teasing. SP B. Malla Reddy appealed to the college principals to arrange wall posters on prohibition of Ragging Act and the punishment if students resort to ragging. He asked the managements to arrange complaint boxes in colleges and complain to the police, if any incident is noticed. The managements explained the steps being taken to prevent ragging. Joint Collector Saurabh Gaur, District Revenue Officer G.V. Jayaramaiah and principals of various professional colleges in the district attended.
