Calling attention: BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya protesting spiralling prices of essentials in Hyderabad.

HYDERABAD: The State unit of the BJP will be organising a series of agitations at all the mandal headquarters and towns from August 11 to protest against the government’s failure to control the increasing prices of essential commodities. The party will also organise a “Challo Assembly” rally on August 18.

This was announced by the State president Bandaru Dattatreya while addressing a meeting at Indira Park here on Tuesday. He said people would teach a fitting lesson to the Congress government in the forthcoming municipal elections for not controlling the prices of essential commodities.

He ridiculed the Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s claim that the prices of essential commodities in the State were less when compared to other States.
