Murder case accused held

KOCHI: A City Police team led by Sunil Jacob, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ernakulam, arrested a person wanted in many robbery cases and murder.

The arrested was identified as Vineesh, 29, of Paravoor.

He was arrested in a case registered on charge of assaulting and killing Shihabudeen of Edappal in Malappuram in 2007 and robbing Rs. 35 lakh from his car. Vineesh was out on bail in that case.

He is also the main accused in the case registered for attacking a shop owner at Valappad Thrissur in 2008 and robbing him of Rs. 50,000.
