Highest temperature in August

Hyderabad: With the monsoon playing truant, temperatures during this month have reached the highest with 36.2 degrees centigrade being recorded here on Friday.

During the past fifty years, the highest temperature recorded in the city in August was 36.1 degree Celsius in 1950 and the lowest temperature was 19.2 degree Celsius recorded in August 1967, as per figures given by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Apart from recording the highest temperature on Friday, the IMD recorded an increase in the lowest temperature at 23.1 degree Celsius.
