Suri likely to be released on August 15
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, now serving a life sentence in the Jubilee Hills bomb blast case, is among the 958 life convicts proposed to be released on August 15.
This follows the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to grant remission to all those life convicts, who have served jail sentence of at least five years, on Independence Day.
Suri is now being treated at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences here for an ailment.
Murder accused
He is also an accused in the murder of Telugu Desam MLA Paritala Ravi in January 2005 for which he is undergoing trial in Anantapur.
