Three injured in ceiling collapse

THALASSERY: Three workers were injured when the ceiling of an old building here caved in on Sunday. The ground-floor ceiling of a two-storey building on O.V. Road here caved in when the workers were engaged in repairs. The injured were identified as Sumesh, 27, Rasheed, 32, and Rafeeque, 35.

While Sumesh and Rafeeque rushed out on seeing the ceiling collapse, Rasheed who was trapped inside suffered serious injuries.

The building, with tile roof, has two shops on the ground floor. — Special Correspondent
