SSLC pattern set to change

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The pattern of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) question papers will see a change in the examination to be conducted in 2010, with an accent on descriptive answers rather than objective type questions.

A meeting of the Education Department on Monday arrived at the decision on the change.

Out of 100 marks, 25 will be for objective-type questions and the remaining for essay-type questions in all core subjects.

In 2008-09 examination, the question papers had 40 marks for descriptive-type answers and 60 for objective-type questions.
