Committee to discharge duties of VC

COIMBATORE: Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiar University G. Thiruvasagam, before his demitting office, has formed a committee called the “Convenors’ Committee” to discharge the duties of the Vice-Chancellor till the next Vice-Chancellor assumes office.

According to a release from the university, Mr. Thiruvasagam laid down his office on August 9.

The conveners’ committee comprises the following members:

K. Ganesan, Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, will be the convenor.

The other members will be A. Thanikodi, Director, Academic Staff College, R. Boopathy, Director, School of Bio-Technology, C. Rengaswamy, Reader, CBM College, and S. Saravanakumar, lecturer, Kamban College of Arts and Science.
