Founder-director of DLRL dead

HYDERABAD: V. Narayana Rao (87), founder-director of the Defence Electronics Research Laboratory(DLRL), Hyderabad, died at his residence in Bangalore on August 13, after a brief ailment. He was a visionary and responsible for the lab’s present status. Rao was director from January 4, 1962 to December 31, 1981. He is survived by wife and three daughters. –Special Correspondent
