NIRMAL (ADILABAD DT.): The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Friday announced provisional completion of four-laning of the nearly 31 km stretch of NH 7 between Kadthal in Nirmal mandal of Adilabad district and Armoor in Nizamabad. Accordingly, user fee from road users will be collected at the Gamjal toll plaza between Nirmal and Soan bridge starting August 20-21 midnight. RatesAt a press conference here, NHAI Nirmal unit project director K. Srinivasulu quoted the toll rates at Rs. 40 for cars and jeeps, Rs. 60 for light commercial vehicles and mini buses, Rs. 120 for lorries and buses, Rs. 185 for heavy construction machinery and Rs. 235 for oversized vehicles. Concessional toll rates for specified categories of road users like locals residing within a radius of 20 km of the toll plaza and some others as per the NH Fee Rules, 2008, were also applicable, he added. Ahead of scheduleMr. Srinivasulu complimented the Hindustan Construction Company of Mumbai for completing the Rs. 300 crore project 100 days ahead of schedule. The NHAI, he said, would provide value added services like accident management, route patrolling, highway traffic management system and median and avenue plantation.
