Two more die of dengue in Bangalore
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Two more dengue deaths — that of children — were reported here on Friday, one of eight-year-old Abhishek who died at St Philomena’s Hospital on Thursday, and another of 11-year-old Sohan Ganesh who died at Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health.
The city has seen at least three dengue deaths in the last one week.
Although city hospitals are getting patients with suspected dengue symptoms almost every day and though the viral disease has been claiming lives, a fact that has been confirmed by the hospital authorities, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike officials continue to deny there is an outbreak in the city.
