Bangalore: Manish Pandey’s century powered KSCA XI to 395 in 98.2 overs against Air India SC in the KSCA all-India invitation tournament final that commenced at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday. Manish’s hundred (116, 143b, 14x4, 1x6) along with Deepak Chougule’s 79 and cameos by B. Akhil (40) and Thilak Naidu (44), bolstered the innings though all the batsmen were guilty of throwing away their wickets with poor shot-selection. Air India has to score 396 from the stipulated 100-over innings on Saturday to go one better than last year’s runner-up spot. It had lost to TNCA in the final last year. The scores (final): KSCA XI 395 in 98.2 overs (Manish Pandey 116, Deepak Chougule 79, Thilak Naidu 44, B. Akhil 40, Vinay Kumar 29, Harmeet Singh four for 96, Siddharth Trivedi three for 57) vs. Air India SC. — Principal Correspondent
