VISAKHAPATNAM: As a part of creating awareness on swine flu, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation on Friday organized a programme at the HPCL Petrol Outlet at Siripuram. Additional Commissioner (General) S. Krishna Murthy asked the workers in the outlet to wear masks so as to create awareness among customers. Chief Medical Officer (Health) D. Abbulu said more awareness programmes would be conducted at petrol outlets. HPCL Area Chief Manager L. Venkataraman, manager Chandrasekhar and Visakhapatnam AIDS Control Society secretary K.S.L.G. Sastry, senior medical officer Durga Kalyani and medical officer Radhasundari participated. Reports awaitedMeanwhile, reports of tests conducted on the samples collected from 12 patients suspected to be suffering from swine flu are yet to be received from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, New Delhi. The results are expected on Saturday, District Medical and Health Officer J. Sarojini said here on Friday. Meanwhile all the 12 patients, including a Nigerian couple, are progressing. No fresh cases of suspected swine flu were reported.
