VIJAYAWADA: Gold jewellery and cash were reported missing from a house at Kondapalli in a case of burglary on Friday. The miscreants entered the house of Guntupalli Nageswara Rao, an employee in the Electricity Department, by breaking the side door of the house. They decamped with gold jewellery weighing 380 grams estimated to cost about Rs. 4 lakh, Rs.70,000 in Indian currency and $ 300 US dollars. Nageswara Rao, who woke up in the early morning, found the almirah broke open in the morning and thus came to know about the incident. Members of the CLUES team collected footprints from the house. The services of sniffer dogs were used. The Ibrahimpatnam police suspected that at least two miscreants involved in the act.
