IT help desk

CHENNAI: An IT help desk for entrepreneurs wanting to know details about investing in Tamil Nadu will be set up in the next two or three months, said P.W.C. Davidar, IT Secretary, on Friday.

Addressing a press meet on ‘Connect 2009,’ Mr. Davidar said that the help desk would be “90 per cent online” and allow would-be entrepreneurs to clarify all their doubts regarding IT investment in the State.

S. Mahalingam, chief financial officer, Tata Consultancy Services, said that the conference would look at the slow growth of the IT sector in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.Mr.Davidar said that the growth was part of a stabilisation phase in the industry.
