Boy laid to rest

Staff Correspondent

TUMKUR: Ganesha (12), who reportedly died of fever in Bangalore, was laid to rest at Gulur, near here, on Friday evening. According to the local health officer, the boy was staying with his parents in Bangalore and had fever for the past one week.

The body was brought to his grandparents’ house in the village and buried there.

A woman in the neighbourhood said that the people of the village got scared after the body was brought there. The fear stemmed from the alert sounded over the spread of A(H1N1).

The health officer said he could not confirm from his counterpart in Bangalore if the death was because of swine flu or dengue.
