Unbeaten centuries by Chaitanya and Jude

HYDERABAD: P.S. Chaitanya Reddy (183 not out) and Jude Phillips (113 not out) helped Yadav Dairy to beat WMCC by 178 runs in the B Division two-day league cricket championship on Friday.

A Division two day league: Mega City CC 358 bt Osmania 128 (Yeshwanth 44, Prince Ojha five for 48, Akash Bhandari three for 24).

Falaknuma CC 144 (S. Tarakarama Rao 41, Sameer five for 63, Bhargav Anand three for 25) vs Nizam College 106 for four (Ashutosh 36 batting).

VST 211 (Gopi Krishna 46, Syed Abdul Arif 62, Zeeshan Ali three for 34) lost to EMCC 212 for five (Achintya Rao 99 not out).

B Division two day league: Yadav Dairy 317 for one (P.S. Chaitanya Reddy 183 not out, Jude Phillips 113 not out ) bt WMCC 139 for nine (M. Ravi Kiran 73, Javeed three for 25).

Inter district league: Nizamabad 134 (Moiz 39, Rakesh three for 50, Prasanth three for 27) bt Adilabad 129 (Aravind 32, Ganga three for 27).

B Division one day league : Natraj 62 (Suresh four for 11) lost to APAU 63 for one (Sushanth 40).

D Division one day league : Royal 147 for seven (Feroz Khan 31, Parmesh 33) lost to Satyam Colts 148 for four ( Mani Kumar 32, Jayesh Sirwani 35).

Chirec triumphs

Chirec School and Rosary Convent “A” won the boys and girls titles respectively in the tam championships of the 11th annual St. Paul’s Table Tennis Academy’s ranking tournament here on Friday.

The results: Inter School team championship: Boys’ final: Chirec School bt BVB ‘A’ 3-0 (Arsh Agarwal bt Manish Chowdary 7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-8; Purna Srivatsava bt Ganesh Gururaj 11-8, 13-11, 11-9; Sri Krishna Pranav bt Arkesh Rath 11-9, 11-6, 11-4).

Girls’ final: Rosary Convent ‘A’ bt Little Flower High School ‘A’ 3-1 (A. Sreeja bt Farisa 11-5, 11-8, 11-6; A. Ravali bt Asna 7-11, 11-7, 6-11, 13-11, 11-5; Bhakti Doshi lost to Shirin Lowards 2-11, 6-11, 6-11; A. Ravali bt Farisa 11-7, 11-8, 11-7).

SCR wins

South Central Railway beat Maisaram Stars FC 3-0 in the CCOB Cup football tournament on Friday. Mouzzam and Azeem scored in the first half and Alford scored in the second half for the railway team.

Praneeth wins

Praneeth Surya beat Chakravarty Reddy in the second round of the 46th YMCA Annual Chess Tournament for boys and girls Under19 here on Friday.

Chidambareswara Rao (125) and Vishnu (five for 40) helped Cavaliers CC beat M.F. Khan CC by a huge margin in the rain-affected VDCA second division clubs league match in Visakhapatnam on Friday.

The scores: Second division: Cavaliers CC 314 for eight in 50 overs (Chidambareswara Rao 125, Mukaram Ali 46, Ganga Raju 35, B.P. Srinivas 30, Lenin 30, Srinivas five for 120) bt M.F. Khan 128 in 37.2 overs, revised target 294 in 42 overs as per D/L method (S.K. Ali 31, Vishnu five for 40).
