Onam celebrations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Onam week celebrations sponsored by the State government will take off in the city on September 1 with a show felicitating actor Mohanlal. This was decided at the Onam week celebrations’ general committee meeting presided by MLA V. Sivankutty here on Saturday. A musical programme titled ‘Nannipoorvam Lal’ will also be staged at the function. Sports and games competitions will be held from August 28 to 31 at different venues in the city. — Staff Reporter
