Thiruvananthapuram: The All India Road Transport Workers Federation has protested against the Centre’s move to reduce the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) to help the private airline industry even as it stonewalled the demand for reducing the price of petrol and diesel. General secretary K.K. Divakaran, MLA, said in a letter to the Prime Minister on Saturday that it was clear from the Civil Aviation Minister’s statement that the Centre wanted to shift the burden to the shoulders of the State governments by making them reduce the sales tax on the ATF. — Special Correspondent
