Thrissur: K. Muraleedharan, who was recently ousted as State president of the Nationalist Congress Party, has said he will approach the Congress high command after the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) reached a consensus over his re-admission to the Congress. Addressing a meeting of his supporters at the Town Hall here on Sunday, he said, “The All India Congress Committee had made it clear it would take a decision to revoke my expulsion from the Congress on the basis of the KPCC’s recommendation. I expect a positive response.” He said the Left Democratic Front (LDF) had failed in all fields. “It has annoyed all communities. The self-financing sector is in utter chaos. Health sector is a shambles. The LDF cannot be called a secular democratic alliance any more.” Mr. Muraleedharan said he and his supporters had mentally become Congress members. “Only the membership is awaited.”
