Guests at the high-tea hosted by the Governor were subjected to temperature check BANGALORE: Influenza A (H1N1) had an impact on the high-tea hosted by Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj on Independence Day here. Guests coming to the event were subjected to body temperature check using a hand-held device. Mallya Hospital was assigned the job. There were also instructions asking those with fever and running nose not to attend the function. Snacks were served by the staff wearing masks. Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa was seen exchanging pleasantries with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Party president R.V. Deshpande and Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council V.S. Ugrappa. Former Bihar Governor Rama Jois and former Union Minister M.V. Rajasekharan among others attended the event. Several serving and retired Defence personnel took part in the event. It included former Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal V.R. Iyer and Senior Air Staff Officer Commanding, Training Command, Air Marshal K.K. Nohwar. Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police Ajai Kumar Singh and Police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari participated.
