Plea for satellite townships in all districts suggested

ERODE: State Government should come forward to set up satellite townships in all districts, Federation of All Civil Engineers Associations of Tamil Nadu has suggested.

In a release, the Federation demanded shifting bus stands, shopping centres outside the main city so as to decongest cities and towns, granting powers to municipal corporations to permit structures with over three floors, setting up a council of engineers on the lines of council of architects.and inclusion of engineers in local planning committee among others.
