Poll promises fulfilled, says Hooda

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Thursday that his regime had “delivered more than what was promised”.Talking to media persons in Karnal, Mr. Hooda, who is likely to recommend dissolution of the Assembly on Friday to pave the way for early polls, added: “We have performed and we will continue to perform.”
Earlier, he inaugurated a new sub-division, Indri, thereby fulfilling a promise he made to the local populace during his thanks giving tour of the constituency after the victory of the Congress candidate in the Indri by-election.
The new sub-division has been carved out of Karnal sub-division and with its creation a longstanding demand of people from this area has been met, benefiting 1.75 lakh people of 106 villages.
Mr. Hooda also inaugurated a project to widen the Indri-Ladwa road. He also laid the foundation stone for a herbal park to be set up at Indri at a cost of Rs.70 lakh over an area of eight acres.
He inaugurated a 132-KV power sub-station in Rambha village.
