BANGALORE: Indian veteran athletes won ten medals, including one gold, three silvers and six bronzes in the 18th World Masters athletic championship held recently at Lahti, Finland, according to Masters Athletics Federation of India. Ajmen Singh bagged the lone gold in hammer throw in the 70 plus men’s section, while, Amit Khanna (men’s 35 plus, 200m) , Dinesh Rawat (35 plus, 400m) and Bhupinder Kaur (women’s 80 plus, 100m) won a silver each. The bronze medallists were John Devasir (40 plus, 80m hurdles), Amit Khanna (35 plus, 100m), Neelam Dubey (women’s 35 plus high jump), Bhuvaneswari (50 plus, pole vault), Laxmi Kuppuswamy (60 plus, pole vault) and men’s 4x100m relay team.
