2 killed, 35 injured in accident

VILLUPURAM: Two women were killed and 35 others injured when a van in which they were travelling overturned near Sankarapuram on Friday.

The police said that in all 37 persons, residents of Arulambadi, were in the van.

While negotiating a turn at Kaduvanur, the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The dead were identified as R. Anjammal (45) and K. Govindammal (45). — Special Correspondent
