Workshop on TB control

PUDUCHERRY: A workshop on tuberculosis control is being organised for faculty members from 131 medical colleges in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on August 27, 28.

Home Minister E.Valsaraj, who also holds the Health portfolio, will inaugurate it. Experts from the Central Tuberculosis Division, Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India and World Health Organisation, India will participate.

It has been organised by the Central TB Division, Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) State Task Force and State TB Cell, Puducherry with coordination from the Department of Community Medicine, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences. It is being conducted at the Pondicherry University’s Convention Centre at Kalapet.
