Reasons to feel happy

Meera Srinivasan

CHENNAI: Fans of actor Vikram will have been waiting so eagerly for this day. But, those in Sangampatti and Gandhipuram are probably even more excited and happy for the Kanthaswamy unit.

The film’s unit adopted these two villages in Madurai during the shoot of the film, and contributed towards the improvement of infrastructure there.

Kanthaswamy also explores the idea of how individuals can contribute to society by sharing resources effectively.

In fact, producer Kalaipuli S. Dhanu feels that it is this powerful storyline and the script that is most appealing about the film, which hits the cinemas on Friday. “Vikram has put in so much effort, and the audience will surely appreciate that.

But the characters in the film, the music, the comedy track, the action sequences and the sets – all these are bound to impress viewers,” he told The Hindu on Thursday.

For Director Susi Ganeshan, this film means a lot.

“Every director puts his heart and soul into each film he makes, and that is true of this project as well. But, each and every frame of this film has warranted tremendous hard work. Our team is happy about the eagerness people have been showing, and we hope to live up to the expectations,” he said.
