Narasimha Swamy’s wife passes away

Bangalore: Venkamma, wife of the renowned Kannada poet K.S. Narasimha Swamy, died in the early hours of Wednesday at her residence at Banashankari here.

Venkamma (87) had been ailing for sometime. She is survived by four daughters and four sons. K.S. Narasimha Swamy had, in many of his works, including the celebrated Mysore Mallige, had acknowledged Venkamma as his source of inspiration and strength.

They lived the life of hardship and Venkamma ungrudgingly supported her poet husband.
