Murder case: 2 youths held; valuables recovered

Coimbatore: Police arrested two youths on charges of murder and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs. 25,000, here recently.

According to police, Kamalam (86) wife of Chinnu Chettiar, was found strangled to death.

A gold ear stud, gold bangle, wrist watch and cell phone were missing from the scene of the crime. Special police teams that had been formed to investigate the case, arrested R. Ramesh (28) of Vijayamangalam in Erode district and A. Ganesan (28) of Serankadu in Tirupur.

The two accused are relatives of the victim.

The crime took place at the Government Quarters at Sidhapudur, a busy area in the city. Further investigation is on in the case.
