High Court to decide on its judges declaring assets

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Chief Justice of the Madras High Court H.L. Gokhale on Thursday said the High Court will decide on the issue of its judges making a public declaration of their assets on receipt of the modalities from the Supreme Court. Mr. Gokhale communicated this to reporters through his office. Judges of the Supreme Court on Wednesday had decided to make public the statements of assets they declared at the time of their appointment to the Supreme Court and subsequent additions, if any. The decision was taken after a Full Court meeting.

The resolution however, does not cover judges of the various High Courts.
